NAME OF CHARACTER: Miss 4th of July ANIME SERIES: N/A (own creation) COSTUME STATUS: Modified COSTUME DEBUT: Anime Expo 2002 DETAILS: Originally, I was planning to make this costume back in September of 2001, after the 911 attacks.  Unfortunately, I didn't have the time, nor the money to make the costume, since I started a new job during that period of time.  Since Anime Expo 2002 fell on the 4th of July holiday, I figured what the heck. :) This is another modified costume.  I purchased the navy blue tennis skirt at a second hand store, and added white felt stars to it.  The red and white striped blouse belongs to my mom, and it is NOT normally worn that way. *laughs*  And again, yes, the shoes are the ones I used for both the Sailor Mars and Kasumi Tendo costumes (and I have a strong feeling those shoes will be used for future costumes). *laughs* I bought the hat at a party accessories store in Westlake Shopping Center in Daly City.  Last, but not least are my blue contacts. :)
