NAME OF CHARACTER: Akane Tendo ANIME SERIES: Ranma 1/2 COSTUME STATUS: 90% made by Claudine Roselle Puente COSTUME DEBUT: San Francisco Cherry Blossom Festival Parade 1999 DETAILS: Since I practically chopped my hair off, I figured that I should cosplay as a character with short hair.  Since I'm a huge Ranma 1/2 fan, the first character that came to mind was Akane Tendo. Okay, the only part of the costume that wasn't made by me was the blue blouse.  Otherwise, the yellow strapped skirt was entirely made by me.  I used the poodle skirt pattern for the skirt, and the straps are something that I created on my own (unfortunately I made the straps a little too big).  Oh, well.  A lesson learned.  This is the only photo I have of myself wearing the costume. :(
