DETAILS: It took a great friend, or should I say, “mentor” to tell me
that I shouldn't be ashamed to admit who I am or what I do. For
starters, it's pretty obvious by now that I'm into Japanese Anime and
Japanese culture. I'm also into Wicca, but I don't really acknowledge
it (other than the pentacle I wear around my neck) because sometimes people
get the wrong idea about witchcraft, or they just too ignorant to read up on
it. He said, "don't worry about how others perceive you. If
they can't accept you for who you are, they have a problem." After
hearing that I said, "you know what? You're right! I AM
gonna show people who I am." Most witches wear cloaks and robes to
pagan gatherings. Me? I have a strong liking for kimonos, but I
could never find one that would really suit me. Then it finally dawned
on me that I should make my own. SPECIAL
NOTICE (PLEASE READ):
You know, there are a few cosplayers out there who feel that they OWN a
particular character because they look just like them, and frankly, I'm
getting sick of people bringing a lot of drama into what is supposed to be a
hobby. Reality check, people. The industry owns the character,
not you. If any of you feel that you should own a character, you should
create your own. Now, I understand that “Saiyan” is a character from
Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball GT. However, there is no "Lady"
Saiyan character in either of the two seasons. Therefore, I could more
or less say that I "own" Lady Saiyan. :) |
