NAME OF CHARACTER: Ranma Saotome Boy-Type ANIME SERIES: Ranma 1/2 COSTUME STATUS: Modified COSTUME DEBUT: Anime Expo 1999 (as Boy-Type) DETAILS: I haven't dressed up as Boy-Type Ranma in a long time.  I brought it back to Yaoi Con 2002... otherwise, I haven't worn it since. I bought the Chinese outfit a few days prior to Anime Expo 1999.  The only changes I made were with the buttons.  When I bought the outfit, the buttons were red, and I remembered perfectly well that Ranma's buttons are yellow.  I had some yellow polyester/ cotton fabric and decided to make the buttons out of that.  I wore navy blue sweatpants, and black ballet shoes.  Okay, Ranma doesn't wear ballet shoes, but it was pretty close to what he wore.  *shrugs*  I don't know...
